This alliance has the goal of facilitating our foreign clients any procedure they might need in Spain or the UK, supported by the vast experience of both legal firms.
This alliance Meoro – Alonso, is specialised in recovering investements of those clients who bought an off-plan property and who saw their investment truncated when the construction of their property was stopped. Some of these Investment were guaranteed by the bank, but it is true that plenty of others were not. We have already been working under this scenario, and we have achieved the recovery of investments from many foreign clients (Britishamong others) from several promotions.

PILAR ALONSO RUIZ, is a lawyer who studied in MURCIA LAW UNIVERSITY . Her law society number is 2949. She is registered with the Almeria Law Society (COLEGIO DE ABOGADOS DE ALMERIA ).
She is the owner of ALONSO HARO SOLICITORS with offices in Cartagena and Manchester, which will facilitate the opportunity for face to face contact with prospective clients. The law firm was opened more than ten years ago. The company deals with Real Estate law basically. She is a Spanish/ English speaking lawyer, and the company is focus in the legal interest of English speaking clients ” British, German , Norwegian , etc ” , who have invested their money in Spain and have been disappointed with the performance of Spanish builders and banks.
It was 2007 when the economic crisis started and the legal problems with property investments arose when she decided to merge her company with the law firm MEORO AVILES ABOGADOS a dynamic, enthusiastic, and extremely well prepared law firm.MEORO AVILES ABOGADOS is one of the most prestigious companies specializing in Debt collection law, Bankruptcy law, Creditors debtor rights law, Civil law. The company is based in MURCIA, on the Mediterranean Coast, which is an area most affected by the financial crash.
It is the intention of the joint companies to open an office in Manchester in the near future, which will facilitate the opportunity for face to face contact with prospective clients.
CARLOS MEORO AVILES, lawyer who studied in MURCIA LAW UNIVERSITY, is the owner of MEORO AVILES ABOGADOS and he and his team, jointly with ALONSO HARO SOLICITORS are setting important precedents by virtue of their successes representing client in Court Cases recovering investments and debts.
They are managing to ensure than banks, up to now unpunished, repay the guaranteed investment even when the builder has been declared bankrupt. Because of their demands and successes it is no longer an excuse for the bank not to pay the creditor because the builder is bankrupt or the bank guarantee has expired ” a bank guarantee never expire until the building is complete and legally handed over” or that the said guaranteed has been lost.
Even if a bank guarantee was not issued it is not an excuse for the bank to refuse repayment of investment because Spanish law protects the investors who buy properties in Spain, under the law 57/68, and banks and builders are required to sign contracts where the funds transferred must be guaranteed.
